Southington Police Arrest Six Alleged Johns in Prostitution Sting

Southington police nabbed six alleged Johns in a recent prostitution sting.

The department has been targeting prostitution after reports of the illicit activity at local motels, said Lt. Jay Suski.

An undercover officer posed as a prostitute and responded to inquiries and requests for sexual activity from the suspects in exchange for money. Arrangements were made to meet at a local motel room where the arrests were made.

The following men were charged with patronizing a prostitute:

Lukasz Kaziul, 31, of Southington.
Paolo Mazzicato, 40, of Avon.
Ronald Murphy, 56, of Farmington. He was also charged with interfering with an officer.
Paul Tommasino, 54 of Meriden.
Dana Layton, 59, of Union City, CA.
David Tonseth, 58 of Marlborough, NH.
